What we collect
When you send an enquiry
The enquiry form asks for your name, email address and requirement. For an organisation it also asks for your organisation and sector. You can choose to add a phone number, team size, operating environment, location and the services you are interested in.
When you visit the site
- Security checks. To protect the enquiry form from automated abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Our server also holds your IP address in memory for up to one hour to limit how many enquiries can be sent from one connection.
- Analytics, only if you agree. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as the pages you visit, how you arrived and the type of device and browser you use. If you do not accept, Google Analytics is not loaded. See our cookie policy.
- Advert measurement, only if you agree. If you reach the site from one of our Google adverts and accept cookies, Google Ads records that your visit came from an advert and whether you sent an enquiry, so we can tell which adverts work. We do not use this to show you adverts elsewhere.
- Server records. Like most websites, our hosting may keep short-lived technical records of requests, including IP addresses, for security and to fix faults.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss training, examination or consultancy services with you. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. Where you are asking about a service for yourself, such as an FRTOL examination, it is also to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To confirm we have received your enquiry, by sending an acknowledgement to the email address you give. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- To keep the site and form secure. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in preventing spam and abuse.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it, through Google Analytics. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To see whether our Google adverts lead to enquiries. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We do not sell your information, use it for automated decision-making or send you marketing unless you have asked us to.
